Alex Rodriguez is also approaching the 3000 hit mark for his career, currently sitting at 2250 career hits. At a season average (per 162 games played) of 191 hits, it will probably be only 4 years until he collects his 3000 MLB hit.

As both Rodriguez and Jeter are in the prime of their careers so they should both hit the 3000 hit plateau with ease.
