Benji Molina extended his hitting streak to 17 games last night. He is 23 for 63 (.361) durning the streak. Molina and Zaun combined have only gone hitless once since May 24.
Gibbon's would eventually like to move Rios down to the 5th or 6th. This move would definitely help increase his RBI total. Rios has 50 RBI's so far this season.
Alex Rios is leading the American League 213,346 write-in votes for the all-star game.
According to the Toronto Sun, the $1.7 million signing bonus given to first round pick Travis Snider, was the 5th hightest given out by the Blue Jays. 2005 pick Ricky Romero was the highest at $2.4 million, followed by Felipe Lopez ($2 million), Gabe Gross ($1.865 million), Russ Adams ($1.785 million) and then Snider. Aaron Hill, Vernon Wells, David Purcey, Billy Koch and Zach Johnson round out the top 10.
A.J. Burnett is scheduled to start tomorrow night.
