Burnett’s Last Rehab Start
It appears that A.J. Burnett is ready to begin earning his $55 million contract he signed over the winter, and hopefully he can continue with the success he's had during his rehab starts in the minors. Over the weekend, Burnett made his final rehab start with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, where he lasted 6 innings, giving up one run on two hits while striking out nine. In his prior start with Syracuse, he pitched 5 innings without giving up a hit. He is scheduled to start on Thursday against the Atlanta Braves.
