According the Blue Jays telecast, they just reported that Shea Hillenbrand has asked for a trade. At some point tonight, Gibbons and Hillenbrand had an arguement, and Shea left.

He apparently was also upset that nobody in the front office congratulated him on his adopting of a baby girl, amongst some other things. Earlier in the year, he made it be known that he wanted to play in the field more often, if not full time.

From a TSN article, ""I love my teammates here, but I'm waiting to be traded," Hillenbrand said during a profanity-filled tirade. "I should have been traded two months ago.""

This situation will probably start up the Hillenbrand for Adam Kennedy trade rumours again, which have died down over the recent months.
