When looking at the numbers of all players involved trade, the Brewers have easily won this deal so far . Gabe Gross's limited, PHing numbers look better than Overbay's. Bush is off to a good start at 2-1 with a 3.54 ERA.
Overbay has never put up big numbers, his best year hitting was: .301 AVE., 16 HR and 87 RBI's. One of the main reasons they brought him in, was for his defensive abilities. He's definitely an upgrade from Hinske and Hillenbrand.
I felt when they made this trade in the off-season, it could come back to haunt them in the future. I didn't expect it too turn in the Brewers favor so quickly. But, if the Overbay helps the Jays get into the playoffs, all may be forgotten.
