It was definitely was not what Gustavo Chacin and the rest of the Blue Jay organization had envisioned when they activated Chacin from the DL yesterday in time to make start last night. Chacin had struggled in his four minor league rehab outings, and his struggles continued in the majors.

Chacin only last 1 1/3 innings, giving up 5 runs. He threw 38 pitches in the first inning and 23 to record only one out in the second. He gave up two run homers to Frank Thomas and Milton Bradley. Command of his pitches was an issue last night, as well as in his rehab starts.
