Our prayers have finally been answered, Josh Towers and his 1-8 record, 9.00 ERA, are out of the starting rotation and off Syracuse. The demotion came after a 10-8 lose to the Devil Rays where he gave up 4 runs on 6 hits in 1 2/3 innings. Towers cleared waivers and was removed from the teams 40 man roster.

Joining Towers on his trip to Triple A Syracuse will be short stop Russ Adams. This is also not a surprise when looking at his throwing problems this year. It also seems that Adams will be learning a new position, 2nd base. Aaron Hill will slowly make the transition over to short stop. McDonald will get most of the time there until Hill is ready to take over, which shouldn't take long as it is his original position.
