The Jays signed Edgardo Alfonzo to a minor league contract. He'll report to the double A New Hampshire Fisher Cats tomorrow.

Alfonzo was released by the Los Angeles Angels earlier this week. He was traded from San Francisco before the season for Steve Finley, but struggled badly at the plate in limited appearances. He appeared in 18 games this year, and collected only 5 hits in 50 at bats, a .100 AVG. Last year with the Giants, he hit .277, 2 HR, 43 RBI's and 36 Runs in 368 at bats.
