In the 2005 MLB amateur draft, the Toronto Blue Jays selected Ricardo Romero with the sixth overall pick. It has been an up and down year for Romero. After making 10 starts with the Class A Dunedin Blue Jays this season where he had a 2-1 record with a 2.47 ERA, he was promoted to the Double A New Hamphire Fisher Cats. Unforunately, Romero has not enjoyed the same success at New Hampshire as he did with Dunedin. Romero's command does not seem to there, he's walking more batters and his strike out are down. In 8 starts with the Fisher Cats, he has an 0-5 record with a 6.31 ERA. He's given up 29 earned runs in 41.1 innings, while walking 19 batters and striking out 21.
