Gustavo Chacin is back on the 15 day DL, after leaving Friday's ballgame against the Tigers. He left the game after the third inning with an elbow strain. Chacin was placed on the DL over a month ago with a sprained left forearm and ulnar collateral ligament. It appears that Josh Towers may be recalled to take Chacin's spot in the rotation on Wednesday. Vinnie Chulk was recalled on the weekend to take Chacin's roster spot.
Reliever Pete Walker was also placed on the 15 day DL on Saturday with bursitis in his throwing shoulder. Walker's spot was filled by Billy Tallet.
Two more pitchers on the DL Tuesday, June 13, 2006
