Playoff Awards for May 18th 2011

The Wilt Chamberlain Award:
Dirk Nowitzki --- 48 pts, 6 reb, 4 asst, 24-24 FTM, 0 stl, 4 blk, 0 treys, and 12-15 FG%...Wow!! Dirk went off last night, never missing when the Mavs were still 5 & 7 pts down early...if he'd have been at 50%, they woulda been down 10+ pts, maybe it ends up being a different game. And then to get to the line 24 times, and NEVER MISS - new NBA record...jeez, the guy's still amazing in his 13th year...should be a great series.

The Charles Smith Award
Russell Westbrook --- 20 pts, 3 reb, 3 asst, 14 FTM, 1 stl, 0 blk, 0 treys, and 3-15 FG% in 38 minutes...Also had 4 turnovers...He was Dirk's opposite, missing 9 of his first 10 shots of the game...and he couldn't find guys for open looks...a lot of messy passing by the Thunder last night. Westy was way too out of control and impatient, he needs to get it together. Game 2 should be a great battle...if the Thunder don't take it, I'm not sure they can come back to win 4 of 5 against Dallas...they will be desperate.
