Colaiacovo to Return; Kilger the Big Winner

Carlo Colaiacovo is expected to be activated by the Maple Leafs today after his 3 game conditioning stint with the Toronto Marlies. The Leafs were already one body under the 23-man roster limit, so they will not have to demote or release anyone. In 3 games with the Marlies, Colaiacovo recorded 3 assists, a +2 rating and 8 penalty minutes.

Chad Kilger was the 'Man' yesterday at the Leafs Skills Competition, winning 2 of the competitions; that he must have somehow rigged. Kilger won the 'Fastest Skater' competition with a one lap time of 14.233 seconds, beating out Steen, White, Stajan, Bell and Suglobov. Kilger also topped Al Iafrate's slap shot record of 105.2 m.p.h., with a 106.6 m.p.h. blast. He took a big run at it, gaining speed from outside the blue line, so the NHL is planning on reviewing it to see if the new record should stand. Iafrate should still be crowned the king as he did it on National T.V. sporting a balding mullet.
