Peca Suffers Serious Injuries

The 3-1 loss to the Blackhawks last night is just a minor issue compared to the injury sustained by Mike Peca. Peca torn is MCL ligament in his right knee and fractured his tibia. Peca collided knee-on-knee with Jim Vandermeer, who was given a 5-minute major and a game misconduct. Leaf Jeff O'Neill was obviously not impressed with Vandermeer,

"It's tough when you see a guy [Vandermeer] who can barely play in this league take out one of the best players in this league,"
