From ‘Goat’ to Star

A few weeks ago, the media and fans were calling for Andrew Raycroft's head. There was talk about if he should be the number one goalie, Tuukka Rask's name was mentioned more frequently. But Maurice stuck to with his man, telling Raycroft and the media, that he was, and will be the the number one goalie for the rest of season. Raycroft thanked Maurice by going 3-0 on the road last week, posting a 1.33 GAA and .960 SV%, earning him the #1 Star of the Week. Jamie Langenbrunner and Nicklas Lidstrom were also named Stars of the Week
