The Leafs are looking to build upon they're decent play of late and win their fourth game in a row. Yes, a four game 'winning' streak. With the Florida Panthers coming to town, their odds of winning their fourth in a row are a bit easier. The Leafs may get the opportunity to tee it up against former Leaf netminder, Eddie Belfour. There shouldn't be any hostility towards Eddie, as it was Leaf management's decision to buy him out. Eddie will definitely be pumped if he's given the opportunity to face his former team in Toronto, wanting to prove to them that they made a mistake.
This will be the 3rd meeting between the two teams this season. The Leafs took the opener in Toronto back on October 9th in a 2-1 shootout victory. Alex Auld stood on his head that night, making 47 saves. Belfour earned a 4-2 victory against the Leafs on November 2nd in Florida. He was named the games 3rd star, stopping 24 shots.
The Leafs dodged a bullet with Darcy Tucker, as his hand appears to be fine after blocking a shot on Saturday. Tucker left the game Saturday, and there were fears that he might have broken a bone or two in his hand, but x-rays came back negative.
4 in a Row? And that Would be Wins
