Pavel Kubina makes his much anticipated return to the Leafs lineup tonight and will be partnered with rookie Brendan Bell. A collective sigh of relief, Wade Belak is not playing defense. Ugh, Belak will probably be skating on the fourth line. At least his defensive lapses will be less apparent, and he'll not have as much ice time to take bad penalties. McCabe and Kaberle will definitely benefit from Kubina returning, as they won't need to be called on as much. As important as the two of them are every night, they need to keep them fresh towards the end of the season. Idealy, I think that McCabe and Kaberle should get around 25 minutes of play, with the remain 4 somewhere between 15 and 20. Kubina and Gill would be around the 20 mark, and White and Bell (or whoever else is playing the point, Belak excluded) around 15.

J.S. Aubin will be in net tonight against the Bruins, as Andrew Raycroft is not quite ready to return from his groin injury. There is a chance that Raycroft will return on Saturday. I hope the Leafs don't rush Raycroft back, and they don't appear to be doing so. Aubin is average at best, so we don't need to see Raycroft out for an extended period of time because he was hurried back to the lineup. Mikael Tellqvist has been actived and will serve as Aubin's back up.
