J.S. Aubin did everything in his power to extend the Leafs winning streak to 5 games, but unfortunately he can't skate past center ice to help his teammates put the puck in the net. Aubin stopped 34 of 36 shots, and is the only reason the Leafs collected a point in the 2-1 lose. The offense just couldn't get it going. They seemed to be affected by having 4 days off, playing 'flat' for the majority of the game.

It seems that each time I rip a Leafs player for his play or comment on how they're average at best (like I said yesterday for Aubin), they go out and prove me wrong. McCabe has turned his offensive game around scoring his 5th goal of the season, Gill is playing better of late, and Aubin was excellent last night. If Belak starts proving me wrong, I might have to retire from writing, but I'm sure that it won't happen.
