The season is officially over for the Steelers after falling to the Cincinnati Bengals last week and being knocked out of playoff contention in the AFC as a result.
Despite no longer contending for a playoff spot, Pittsburgh will still be trying to pull out a convincing win over the Cleveland Browns in the regular-season finale.
With tight end Heath Miller out for the season with a torn ACL and Mike Wallace dealing with a hip injury, Ben Roethlisberger will turn to Brown in the passing game. Expect a boost in numbers for Brown this weekend with the veteran becoming the number one target in the passing game.
#2 Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers come into their matchup with the division rival New Orleans Saints riding a three-game winning streak and apparently having figured things out after a disappointing start the season.
Although it is too late for Cam Newton and company to clinch a playoff spot in the NFC, Carolina continues to play well and will try and have another solid performance this weekend at the expense of the worst defense in the NFL. Smith stands to benefit the most from the Saints awful pass defense.
#3 Greg Jennings, Green Bay Packers
Although the Packers have already wrapped up the NFC North division title and are playoff bound once again, Aaron Rodgers and company will be aiming to secure one of the top seeds in the NFC with a win over the Minnesota Vikings.
Green Bay will have quite a challenge ahead against the Vikings’ defense, but will likely take the passing game to put points on the board with Jennings set to see an increase in targets this Sunday.
