After the Thunder’s selection of Adams was made official, former OKC guard and current Houston Rocket star, James Harden, tweeted, “Steven Adams loooooooooooooooool” in a clear dig at his former team’s selection. Harden, apparently harboring some resentment for the Thunder front office after being traded to the Rockets last year for financial reasons.

In another, separate jab at Adams and Oklahoma City’s pick, a fan tweeted Thunder superstar small forward Kevin Durant a critical message much like Harden’s. Durant responded with a less than pleased, “smh” clearly not amused by the fan’s comment.

Despite the criticism of the pick and Adams, the most interesting aspect of this twitter banter is the revival of the bad blood between Harden and the Thunder following last year’s trade. Based on Harden’s tweet, it appears that he is still bitter over the move.

Harden immediately deleted his tweet, but not before a few of his followers retweeted it. It’ll be fun to watch the next Thunder-Rockets match up.
