NBA Morning Recap: Clippers Go Through December Without A Loss

NBA: Boston Celtics at Los Angeles ClippersIt wasn’t a heavy NBA night as the last week of the NFL regular season was going on. Still, the NBA had four entertaining games on the menu. Let’s check out the recap.

Detroit Pistons 96, Milwaukee Bucks 94

The Pistons were spotted a 13-0 lead and led by double digits for the most part. However, the Bucks went on a 13-0 run and even briefly took a 94-92 lead. But Prince made go-ahead foul shots to give Detroit a 96-94 lead. Monta Ellis would miss the game-tying runner and the Pistons escape with a win. Prince led Detroit with 20 points. Ellis had an otherwise excellent game with 30 points and nine assists.

San Antonio Spurs 111, Dallas Mavericks 86

The game was actually manageable through three quarters but the Spurs ran away in the fourth quarter, turning it into a laugher. Tony Parker had 21 points and nine assists, Manu Ginobili had 20 points, and Tim Duncan had 18 points, 10 boards, and three blocks to pace San Antonio. The Spurs have now won five straight while the Mavs sunk deeper as they’ve lost their last six contests.

Sacramento Kings 118, Boston Celtics 96

The Kings ran away late in the third quarter. Isaiah Thomas scored 27 points while DeMarcus Cousins, who’s been in a lot of trouble this season, got a triple-double (12 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists). Sacramento has won six of their last seven games at… Sleep Train Arena.

Los Angeles Clippers 107, Utah Jazz 96

The Clippers overcame another physical game with the Jazz and won their 17th straight game. They went through the month of December undefeated, the first undefeated month since February 2008 when the Houston Rockets went 13-0. Caron Butler led the Clippers with 29 points and made all six of his three-point field goal attempts.
