NBA Play Of The Day: Blake Griffin Soars Over The Sixers

uspw_7032982Lob City paid a visit to Philadelphia and put on a show. It was tough to pick on which dunk to choose here for Play Of the Day. But we decided to pick Blake Griffin for this one because, well, this is as ferocious as they come.

Chris Paul was being guarded by one of the perimeter defenders in the game today in Jrue Holiday. Blake Griffin set a pick on Holiday as Arnett Moultrie picked Paul up. With Griffin wide open down the lane, Chris Paul made the easy pass to him. Then Blake Griffin took off. Spencer Hawes tried to stop him. Hawes didn’t stand a chance.

Griffin’s head went higher than the rim. And to avoid getting blocked, Griffin dunked the ball with his left hand. To add salt to the wound, Hawes fouled him on the way up.

That was part of the show that the Clippers put on against the Sixers. They were up by as many as 31 points and eventually beat the Sixers, 107-90. It looks like Lob City is back in town with the full roster back.
