NBA Play of the Day: Jeff Green Does It Again, Posterizes Vucevic

uspw_6922902Jeff Green has been throwin’ it down this season. Maybe he’s making up for lost time. But he’s had some pretty powerful dunks this year. He even got our Dunk of the Week after he put Chris Bosh in a poster last Sunday.

Well, he did it again against the Orlando Magic. I personally picked the dunk that starts at 0:18 on the video below. Just the fact that he had two more dunks makes it even more incredible.

Again, his heart surgery from last year was well-documented. But it still gives us inspiration that he’s playing in the best basketball league in the world.

But let’s take it back to Friday night’s game against Orlando. Jason Terry got double-teamed as Jeff Green set a pick. Green got himself free at the top then received the ball from Terry. Green suddenly found a wide open lane. So he drove in as Nikola Vukevic tried to help. Too late. Green hit the powerslam. You could have heard that dunk in the whole New England region. It was pretty powerful.

Boston would go on to win the game, 97-84. Once again, it was bittersweet for the Celtics as they learned earlier that they lost Jared Sullinger for the season because of back surgery.

But no matter what, the Celtics must press on. Just like Jeff Green is pressing on after getting heart surgery.
