This list of the Top 30 NBA Single Season RPG leaders, will probably stay same for many years to come. We don't foresee any player averaging over 19 rebounds per game ever again.

Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell dominated the boards in the 1960's, and they dominate this list. It is not until number 19 does someone other than the two make the list. 23 of the Top 30 are either Chamberlain (11 times) or Russell (12 times). There are only 4 other players that had amazing rebounding seasons to make this list, Nate Thurmond, Jerry Lucas, Bob Pettit, and Elgin Baylor.
