A list of the 54 NHL players who have recorded over 2000 career penalty minutes. Dave 'Tiger' Williams tops the NHL all time penalty minutes list with almost 4000 NHL penalty minutes in under 1000 games. That works out to about 4.12 penalty minutes per game. Chris Nilan ranks 9th in career pim's, but has a higher per game average than Williams, at approximately 4.43. But Shane Churla at 4.72 has the top PIM per game average of all players with over 2000 career PIMs.
