NHL Play of the Night: Brad Marchand Undresses the Sabres

Despite the clinic that Sabres Thomas Vanek put on last night, Bruins Brad Marchand earned our play of the night.

Marchand takes a pass from Patrice Bergeron at the blueline. He gives a quick little fake (had to rewatch several times) along the boards that Tyler Myers completely bit on. Marchand cuts to the middle and drags from about the bottom of the circle to the far side of the net, before backhanding in the bottom of the net.

Jordan Leopold and Ryan Miller are caught flat footed and out of position. A defensive breakdown by the Sabres, but some nice moves by Marchand.
