The bad news keeps piling on with these Lakers. They’re about to face the Detroit Pistons in about half an hour when we learned this news from Mike Bresnahan of the L.A. Times. Check the tweet.
Steve Nash could miss up to four weeks with the small fracture in his left leg, a Lakers source said. #BadLakerNews

It had been reported by many that Steve Nash was going to be out a minimum of one week. We were pretty sure that you don’t “only miss a week” with a leg fracture. Nevertheless, this is more bad news for the Lakers, who are 0-3 and are struggling to get anything going on either side of the court.
Steve Blake will be starting in Steve Nash’s place like he did last Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Lakers coach Mike Brown opted to use Darius Morris instead of Chris Duhon on the back-up spot so we’ll probably see more of Morris in that role.
Nash played a total of ten years with Phoenix before coming over to the Lakers in a blockbuster trade last summer. Nash has only averaged 4.5 points and 4.0 assists, far below his career averages, in the two games he has played.
