In the third period of last night’s Edmonton Oilers – Minnesota Wild, Oilers winger Taylor Hall was assessed a five minute major for kneeing and a game misconduct for a hit on Wild winger Cal Clutterbuck.
Today, head disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan suspended Hall for two games for kneeing.
Shanahan took into consideration that Hall has never been suspended before, and that Clutterbuck was injured on the play.
Clutterbuck will miss tomorrow’s game with against the Flames. He has been diagnosed with a “thigh contusion.”
