VIDEO: Lakers’ Dwight Howard Seals The Deal Blocking Robin Lopez

The Los Angeles Lakers appeared to be headed for a devastating loss on Wednesday night with Kobe Bryant and company struggling to compete with one of the worst teams in the NBA. Although the New Orleans Hornets may have a promising future building around Anthony Davis, the team is still a long way from contending for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

At one point in last night’s game in New Orleans, the Hornets were in complete control with a 25-point lead over the Lakers until Kobe kicked it into high gear offensively and Dwight Howard got the job done defensively. Kobe’s 42 points and 12 assists stole the show on Wednesday, but Howard’s clutch block on Robin Lopez basically sealed the deal for the Lakers with 26.0 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
