The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the 2012-13 NBA season on Tuesday night by taking down the number one seeded San Antonio Spurs at the Target Center. Not only did the Timberwolves beat arguably the best team in the Western conference, but they were able to do it in convincing fashion by blowing out the Spurs in a 24-point rout.
In arguably the best win of the season for the lowly Timberwolves, Ricky Rubio recorded the first triple-double of his career with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. One of the best highlights of the night and arguably the best of his career was an amazing double behind-the-back drive to the hoop leaving Spurs defenders helpless as Rubio laid it in.
