In a somewhat surprising move, the Oakland Raiders waived undrafted free agent wide receiver Keelan Doss. The rookie was a standout during the preseason, but the Raiders have a ton of depth at his position so there simply was not enough room on the 53-man roster for him.
The hope was that the Raiders would be able to retain the Alameda native to their practice squad, but for that to happen, he had to clear waivers.
Oakland got lucky in the sense that Doss surprisingly cleared waivers, however, he will not be joining the Raiders practice squad after all. According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, he opted to sign onto the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad instead:

Doss led the Raiders in receiving yards throughout the preseason with 162 on 17 receptions un the four games. He was one part of the Raiders impressive group of preseason wideouts that earned the team the fourth-best passing and overall offense in the preseason.
On top of being the best receiver for the Raiders in the preseason, Doss was also a standout at UC Davis. After ending his collegiate career with back-to-back seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards, Doss earned a career total of 4,069 yards and 28 touchdowns in his career at UC Davis.
Although Doss was certainly impressive throughout the preseason, the Raiders should be just fine without him. Between former All-Pro Antonio Brown, veteran Tyrell Williams, and rookie Hunter Renfrow, the Raiders have plenty of options for quarterback Derek Carr.
The Jaguars are smart to add a player the caliber of Doss to the practice squad though. If he continues to impress, it would be that surprising to see him on their roster at some point during the 2019-20 season.
