NHL Injury Notes: Ducks, Bruins, Sabres, Stars, Wings, Oilers, Canadiens, Penguins, Lightning and Jets
NHL Injury notes

Eric Stephens: Anaheim Ducks Sam Steel (mid-body) traveled with the team on their road trip.

Boston Bruins: Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy on Tuukka Rask: “He either had a little bit of a muscle pull or some dehydration, or both. I don’t think there’s anything structurally wrong.”

Boston Bruins; Rask said that his issue was just cramping from the heat that was in the arena, adding that he’ll be fine.

Sabres PR: Buffalo Sabres injury report.

Zach Bogosian – hip – indefinitely
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen – hip – indefinitely
Brandon Montour – hand – 3 weeks
Conor Sheary – upper-body – day-to-day

Matthew DeFranks of the Dallas Morning News: Dallas Stars forward Corey Perry was on the ice yesterday for the second time since he fractured his foot on September 13th. He’ll be re-evaluated tomorrow and is getting closer to returning.

Stars coach Jim Montgomery didn’t have any updates on Blake Comeau (lower-body) or Jason Dickinson (upper-body)

Ansar Khan: The Detroit Red Wings have activated Andreas Athanasiou from the IR and reassigned Ryan Kuffner and Oliwer Kaski.

Kurt Leavins: The Edmonton Oilers activated Riley Sheahan from the IR and placed Josh Archibald on the IR with an illness.

Renaud Lavoie: Montreal Canadiens Nick Cousins (lower-body) and Shea Weber (maintenance) didn’t practice yesterday.

Rob Rossi of The Athletic: Multiple sources saying Pittsburgh Penguins Evgeni Malkin’s injury is to his leg and not his knee. He doesn’t require surgery. The Penguins are hoping that a return is within six to 10 weeks.

Joe Smith: Though the Tampa Bay Lightning coaching staff nor Brayden Point would say if he’ll be in the lineup tomorrow. By the way he was practicing and feeling yesterday, a good sign that he’ll be ready.

Murat Ates: The Winnipeg Jets have put Bryan Little on the IR.

They’ve granted Dmitry Kulikov a personal leave.

Mitchell Clinton: Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey was held out for precautionary reasons. About an hour after yesterday’s practice he wasn’t feeling well.
