On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Rams and quarterback Jared Goff finally agreed to the contract extension that has been talked about seemingly all offseason.
Goff has improved each season since the Rams drafted him first overall in 2016 and under head coach Sean McVay, he has developed into one of the top signal-callers in the league.
Because of that, there was never any doubt within the organization that Goff would get locked up long-term and that finally happened.
The Rams did not release the terms of the contract, but Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the extension is a four-year, $134 million deal with $110 million guaranteed, which is the largest amount in NFL history:

The $110 million in guaranteed money is slightly more than the Philadelphia Eagles gave Carson Wentz ($107.8 million), which was the previous record.
Goff still has two years remaining on his rookie contract after his fifth-year option was picked up. So this extension will go into effect before the 2021 season and will keep him in Los Angeles through the 2024 season.
In addition to Goff, the Rams have also locked up Aaron Donald, Brandin Cooks and Todd Gurley as well as McVay and general manager Les Snead, so that will be the nucleus of the organization for many years to come.
